As Chairman, Founder, and Chief Executive Officer of Cook Systems, Mr. Cook has provided the vision for the company. His inspirations, including Managed Services, have created the strategic direction of the company. He has made certain that Cook Systems has exceptional operational talent and technology to deliver the most successful IT solutions to Fortune 1000 clients and government entities.
With over 35 years of IT leadership and service experience, Wayne Cook founded Cook Systems in 1994. Prior to Cook Systems, Mr. Cook was President of Eagle Systems Technology, Chief Operating Officer for SCB, and Director of MIS for First Tennessee Bank.
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Human Resources
Christine has been a member of Cook Systems’ executive branch for more than a decade. She came to Cook Systems with a wealth of knowledge in all things financial from her 25 years in the accounting field. With over 20 years in the technology industry, she has been actively involved in the day to day operations of the company.
As the leader of the Accounting/Finance and Human Resources department, she has been an instrumental player in the growth of our business, including four acquisitions to date.
Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
With over 30 years Information Systems Project Management and consulting background in Airline, Transportation, Logistics, Manufacturing, Imaging, Paper, Energy, Automotive, Insurance Services, Defense, and Security sectors, Mr. Fortenberry’s wide range of experience includes Strategic Missile Command and Control Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, Industrial Automation, Workflow Automation, and Corporate Executive Support Systems. Mr. Fortenberry brings a proven track record of successful project management and consulting to the Cook Systems team where he leads the Managed Technical Services, Applications Development, Software Testing, and Consulting Businesses while fostering Cook Systems continuing commitment to the FastTrack’D software developer program.
Mr. Fortenberry is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he maintained the ICBM leg of America’s strategic nuclear deterrent triad. He has tapped that service and intense technical training experience and personnel reliability program to shape the uniquely successful FastTrack’D Java training methodologies.
A fervent supporter of American public education, as a volunteer Mr. Fortenberry mentored numerous Florida and Tennessee middle and high school students in engineering and robotics with his student teams winning numerous local, state and two national robotics championships.
Chief Investment Officer
Ken Halford brings over thirty years in the Information Technology Services industry. Over this thirty plus years in the industry, he has co-founded and built three successful IT Services companies that involved nine acquisitions, two mergers, and selling two of the three companies. He is also currently actively engaged as Chief Investment Officer/Director of Mergers and Acquisitions with Cook Systems, with a primary role in implementing acquisition activity.

Executive Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions, Contracts and Special Projects
Having entered the Information Technology industry in 1970, Mr. Fletcher has extensive experience in strategic sales, sales management, and operations management. Jim joined Cook Systems in 2000 and served as Cook’s Chief Operating Officer for thirteen years. Mr. Fletcher has over 44 years of experience as a top salesman, business owner, and Vice President of both sales and operations.
Mr. Fletcher has worked in private and public companies and has been involved with a wide variety of products, including computers, data and voice communications equipment, wireless products, vertical application software, and professional services.
Mr. Fletcher currently coordinates legal activities for Cook along with Cook’s attorneys, including contracts, & mergers & acquisitions. He creates and maintains Cook’s compensation plans, and approves and maintains registration of clients for Cook’s FastTrack’D program, as well as those of its Partners and Subsidiaries. He participates in and heads up numerous special projects for Cook.
Senior Vice President of Corporate Development
As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Charlie Cox brings over 41 years of experience in management/finance/accounting. He passed the CPA in November 1970 and has experience in both public accounting as a partner in a local accounting practice as well as experience in the private sector as an owner and in management. This background includes 25 years experience in the I.T. industry.
He has experience in the merger and acquisition of I.T. related companies and brings valuable experience to the team.
From 1991 to 1995, he was President and Chief Financial Officer of a company that manufactured custom plastic injection molding products. Previous, beginning in 1988, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of an IBM industry remarketer of mid-range computer products. During the period 1981 to 1987, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ECONOCOM. Prior to ECONOCOM, Mr. Cox was engaged as a partner with a public accounting firm.
Regional Vice President – Columbus
John is a seasoned IT executive with more than 20 years of experience in the IT and IT Services industries. He provides a competitive advantage with his deep technical, business and project knowledge. John started and successfully ran Performance Management Associates, Inc. for 15 years before it was acquired by Cook Systems in 2012. He has extensive experience in the Columbus market and has placed more than 1,000 consultants with multiple skill sets across large organizations.
In addition, John has been involved in and ran the local Tech Serve Alliance chapter (an association of IT consulting firms) as an acknowledgement of his ability to successfully partner with clients and other firms.
President, Sentari Technologies
Mary Necessary proudly serves as the leader of Cook Systems’ Texas subsidiary, Sentari Technologies. She began her IT services career 30 years ago as a technical recruiter and account manager for permanent placement agency, which subsequently led her into the IT consulting services industry providing highly-skilled IT professionals on a contingent basis. Her background as a technical recruiter, sales executive, sales manager, regional director and business owner provides her with a solid foundation on which to operate a successful and viable business entity.
She holds a Mean Green Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of North Texas and continues her business education as a member of Vistage. Additionally, she has devoted many years of her career to the National TechServe Alliance Association, serving as a member and Texas board representative.
